Un petit post depuis la France où je suis depuis 2 semaines maintenant. Vacances tranquilles, j'ai pu me reposer et voir des gens qui me sont chers, en un mot, j'en ai profité. Reste encore une semaine qui s'annonce excellente puisqu'à partir d'aujourd'hui ma douce et tendre me rejoint.

En attendant d'aller la chercher à l'aéroport, voici quelques photos d'une promenade faite avec mes parents lundi dernier. 4 h et demi à pieds, en partant de la maison. Histoire de montrer la région dans laquelle j'ai grandi et de constater qu'il y a des coins verts près de Paris.

 

 

Un bigliettino dalla Francia dove sto da ormai 2 settimane. Fin ora, ho potuto approfitarne, vedando famiglia e amici, ed anche riposandomi. Sto qui per ancora una settimana, durante quale mia dolce e tenere mi raggiunge.

Aspettando di andare trovarla all'aeroporto, aggiungo delle foto  di una passeggiata fatta lunedi scorso con i miei, 4 ore e mezza a piedi partando da casa mia. Cosi posso mostrare un po' la regione in quale sono crescito e provare che si puo trovare un po' di posti verdi vicino a Parigi.

 

 

A small post from France, where I've been for 2 weeks now. I have nive holidays, I could see my family and friends, and also have a good rest. I will also spend next week here, but with my beloved which comes with me.

Before going and pick her at the airport, I publish some pictures of a walk I made with my parents last monday, 4 hours and a half by feet, starting from home. So I can show a bit of the region where I grew up, and also that one can find some green spaces next to Paris.

Mise en ligne des photos de notre deuxième sortie restau-montagne, à Giugnola, encore un petit bled paumé dans les cimes. Au menu : fiorentina de boeuf (entrecôte) d'environs 700gr, avec ravioli de pommes de terre aux champignons en primo pasto. Ensuite bonne balade en nature pour digérer (ce ne fut pas suffisant).

 

Oggi metto in linea le foto della nostra seconda uscita ristorante-montagna, a Giugnola, piccolo paese perso nelle cime. Dopo dei ravioli di patate ai funghi porcini e una fiornetina di 7 etti, abbiamo fatto una passeggiata nella natura. Pero, non era abbastanza per digerire...

 

Today, on-line are the picture of our second restaurant-moutain day. It was in Giugnola, small village in the mountain. We ate ravioli di patate (made with patatoes) with mushrooms and a piece of beef (fiorentina) weighting 700 gr. After this, the walk in the nature was not enough to digest...

En ces temps-ci je fais peu le touriste. Je commence à bien connaître Bologne, et en mai j'ai découvert un peu les environs : 1h de voiture vers les Appenins, et nous voici en montagne. Arrêt gastronomique pour goûter aux spécialités du coin (à base de truffe), et ensuite promenade en nature pour digérer. Ensuite on est montés au Corno alle scale proprement dit, qui fait ofice de station de ski quand la saison s'y prète. Là, un 4 mai, on avait encore de la neige en haut!

 

 

Nei recenti tempi non faccio tanto il tourista, visto che ormai conosco abbastanza bene Bologna. Pero, in maggio, ho potuto scoprire un po' gli atorni di Bologna. Un'oretta di macchina verso gli Appenini, e stiamo nelle montagne. Fermata gastronomica per gustare le specialità di la (a base di tartuffo), poi passeggiata per digerire, ed in fine siamo saliti al Corno alle scale proprio, dove si puo (poteva?) sciare in inverno. E si vede che li, anche il 4 di maggio, c'è la neve!

 

 

NowadaysI don't visit so much. I know rather well Bologna, but in may I had the chance to discover a bit the province of Bologna. 1 hour of car and we are in the Appenins, in the mountains. We made a first stop to taste the specialities of there, and after we walked in the nature to digest in a better way. In the end we went up to the Corno alle scale, which is (or was) a ski station in the winter. On may, 4th, there was still snow!

Vous vous demandez sûrement ce que signifie le titre de ce billet? A vrai dire, je ne le sais pas exactement moi non plus, mais ce que je peux vous dire, c'est que c'est la devise de l'université de Bologne, une des plus vieilles facs d'Europe avec la Sorbonne. Je ne suis pas vraiment redevenu étudiant, mais j'ai obtenu une bourse d'étude avec une formation à suivre, en partie au CNR (mon ancien lieu de travail) et en partie à l'université de Bologne. Donc oui, encore bolognais, jusqu'à fin novembre.
Pour l'instant les cours que je suis me renvoient au temps de la fac de marne la vallée, vu qu'on voit la chimie théorique, avec des calculs (pour lesquels on est jamais assez forts, Bruno) sur ordinateur. C'est assez marrant, l'ambiance est bonne, les enseignants jeunes comme nous et sympas. C'est tranquille. En parallèle il y a quelques manips à répéter dans mon ancien labo, mon ancien chef compte sur moi... Sa maladresse me fait chier, mais dans le fond ça me fait assez plaisir.
Donc voilà, pour résumer, la vie est belle, je suis heureux et bien portant, et pis voilà! En passant je rajoute quelques photos prises à Ferrara en janvier, une ville pas très loin de Bologne, vers le nord, et aussi très tranquille (photo prises un samedi après midi, les rues étaient quasiment désertes...). Moi je n'étais pas seul, j'étais avec ma "Valentine", que j'embrasse bien fort en ce jour de "fête".

Nella versione francese, chiedo se qualcuno sa cosa significa il titolo del biglietto. Penso che le personne che mi leggono in italiano sapiano cosa vuol dire, visto che venite tutti da Bologna. In fatti questo biglietto è soppratutto per gli amici francese, a chi non ho mandato tante notizie dall'inizio dell'anno. La maggior parte di voi sa che sono rimasto qui a Bo, con una borsa di studio tra il CNR e l'università (e l'ARCES anche), e che oltre questo vedo spesso una personna con chi sto davvero molto bene. Profito di questo giorno per fargli una marea di baci, cio è un po' di piu dagli altri giorni ;).
Vi aspetto per dei aperitivi presto.

Hi everyone

From now I think my English speaking audience is going to be slightly bigger, since I met some nice people from the USA and England during international aperitivi (ndlr, aperitivos in a good Italian). For the other ones from all over the world, I'd like to send some news. I'm reamining in Bologna for some monthes (until the end of november), where I'm following lessons to get insights into nanosciences. This formation (sorry if the word is not appropriate, but I say it this way in French) is more theoretical than practical, but it's interesting, we'll see every sides of nanosciences, from simulations to probing of surfaces at the nanoscale, via mathematical considerations. A nice overview of this domain of sciences.
In the meantime, I still have some work concerning my former projects, the review article with my boss in Paris should be sent for the second time to the referees soon (deadline is tomorrow, february 15th, but we've always been late until now, so I don't worry that much), I hope my boss will have done the necessary to improve our using of the English language, juged very poor by two referees (thank you Catherine and John for your propositions of reading the manuscript, if we need, I'll let you know). And on another side, the project between the lab here and the one in Grenoble is going well, so well that I'll do some extra experiments next week. In brief, now that I'm gone, my former projects are advancing... How should I interpret this???
Anyway everything's fine here, and this year I have a very nice reason to celebrate the Valentine's day! And I'll do!

Bon, il serait ptèt temps de finir cette présentation des photos de l'Australie, non?? Ca fait tellement longtemps que je ne me souviens même plus où je me suis arrèté la dernière fois. J'en profite aussi pour vous dire que je vais bien, et que ce silence bloguesque est du au fait que j'ai eu un mois d'octobre intensif, je me suis mis la pression pour faire du bon boulot, et au final il me semble que j'aurais fait tout aussi bien sans me mettre une telle pression... Mais bon, on va dire que je suis encore un peu fatigué, il est donc un peu tôt pour tirer un bilan objectif de ce mois qui vient de s'écouler. C'était assez fatigant, surtout psychologiquement parlant, mais intéressant. Heureusement, il y a toujours des personnes pour vous changer les idées en vous emmenant voir des films primés à Cannes, en vous emmenant danser, en vous faisant marcher jusqu'à l'arrêt de bus à l'autre bout de la ville, ou en vous faisant remarquer que votre blog n'est pas à jour depuis longtemps. Ca change les idées.

Bon alors, ces photos... Voyons un peu... Ah, ok c'est bon!! Donc on repart de Coral Bay, laissant la plage, la mer et le corail pour entrer plus dans les terres, à l'intérieur du pays, direction Tom Price, à côté du parc national Karijini. Les paysages deviennent de plus en plus désertiques et la terre plus rouge. Après environs 600 km de route on arrive à la ville, et on prend un emplacement au camping. Au coucher du soleil et le lendemain matin, nous avons eu une visite inattendue, que je vous laisse découvrir sur les images.

Allora, sarebbe tempo di finire questa prezentazione delle foto dell'Australia, no?? Fa tanto tempo che non mi ricordo neanche piu dove mi sono fermato la scorsa volta. Comunque, io sto bene, ma in fatti se leggete la parte italiane forse ci siamo visti poco tempo fa, dunque lo sapete... Ma non ho aggiornato il blog perchè ho lavorato molto (anche se Sonia e Maria pensano il contrario, cattive!!), mi sono messo la pression (espressione francese) per lavorare bene... e al fine, mi sembra che avrei lavorato cosi bene senza prestarme... Ma be, diciamo che sono ancora tropo stanco per tirare delle consluzione adesso. Quindi, une mese di ottobre intenso, ma interessante. Ma stancante anche, soppra tutto psicologicamente. Fortunamente ce sono delle persone per farvi vedere un filmo palma d'oro a Cannes, portandovi ballare, faciendovi caminare fin a una fermata all'altro latto del centro, o che vi fanno notare che il vostro blog non è aggiornato da molto tempo. Ottimo (sinceramente)!

Ok, adesso, veniamo alla parte interessante del messaggio... le foto dell'Australia... alors, j'en étais où déjà.... Ok, mi ricordo! Allora adesso, partiamo da Coral Bay, lasciando ditero di noi il mare per entrare piu all'interno delle terre, verso Tom Price, piccola citta attacata al parco nazionale Karijini. Gli paesaggi divengono piu secchi e la terra piu rossa. Dopo circa 600 km, arriviamo nella citta poi prendiamo un posto nel camping. Nel fin della giornata e al inizio del giorno dopo, abbiamo una visita inaspettata, che vi lascio scoprire sulle foto.

Ok, so now let's finish to see this pictures from Australia! It's such a long time I didn't take care of it that I don't even remember where I stopped last time. Let me say that I'm fine, tutto bene as we say here, and I didn't give news in october because I worked a lot (even if some girls in the lab or in Greece think the opposite ;) ), I made efforts to work hard and well, but finally it seems that I would have done the same without working so hard... But I think it's still too early to make conclusions now. So a hard month of october, psychologically tiring, but interesting. And hopefully, there are still some people to change your ideas, making you see Romanian movies at the cinema, taking you to salsa parties, making you cross the center of the city to wait for the bus or to remind you that your blog hasn't been updated for a long time. Pretty cool!

So now, let's come back to the interesting part of this message, so... these pictures.... ah ok! So, we leave Coral Bay, the beach, the sea and the coral reef to go more inside the country, to Tom Price, small town very close to the Karijini national park. During the trip, landscapes become more desertic and soil more red. After around 600 km we arrive in the city and take a place in the camping. At the end of the day and the sunrise which followed, we had an unexpected visit, that I let you discover in the pictures.
